Living Cruelty-Free in NYC

Are your tours vegan friendly?

Heck yes! I'm not too chic for meat for nothing ;) Vegan food and animal friendly shopping are part of all my tours, however non-vegans are always welcome and will have no problem finding something for themselves. For example, if you're vegan and your spouse is not, you will both feel comfortable taking a tour with me and I will point out options for both of you.

When are tours given?

All year round, 7 days a week.

How long is the tour?

Approximately 3 hours.

How large are tour groups?

You and only you! No large groups, no running to keep up. Your party of 4 or less is my main focus. Most other tours in New York have 15+ people where you're shuffled around the city like a herd of cows. So not chic. On my tour, you will never feel left behind or rushed because I'm by your side the whole time :)

What should I bring with me on a tour?

  1. Comfortable shoes. Sandals, sneakers, boots- anything you've already broken in and will be comfy walking in.
  2. Money. Credit cards are accepted mostly everywhere (Mastercard, Visa and sometimes Amex), but you should have cash on you just in case you want to buy from a thrift shop, food cart ect..
  3. Camera

What will we do on a tour?

We will visit most or all of the places listed in each neighborhood. Sometimes due to weather, timing or other things out of our control we won't be able to visit some of the exact places listed. Don't worry though- there is an abundance of things to do at any given time! I'm very flexible as well, so you aren't pressured to eat at all of the vegan cafes/restaurants we stop at. So much vegan food, so little time!

I can't decide which tour to take!

I'm happy to provide suggestions if you give me an idea of what you're looking to do. For example, if you're really into shopping I might suggest the Upper East Side or Soho tour, or if there's a dietary restriction (beyond just vegan) I can clarify the best neighborhood to be in. Just contact me with any questions and I'll get back to you asap.

Where does the tour start?

You will receive an email with the meeting place for the tour once it's purchased. The tour always begins in the neighborhood you choose. For example, if you purchase a Soho tour, we will meet in Soho.

I am a local, can I take your tour?

Absolutely! If you've recently gone vegan, moved to the city or just want to explore a new neighborhood I'm your girl. I'll make sure you know the Too Chic for Meat approved spots.

Can I take multiple tours?

Absolutely! Please purchase a ticket for each tour you want to take. I don't recommend taking more than one in a day as it can be a lot of walking if you're not used to it. Two in one weekend (one on Saturday and one on Sunday) works for a lot of people as you get to explore a different neighborhood each day.

How far in advance do I need to schedule a tour?

Please purchase a tour at least one month in advance. Spring and Summer are the busiest time (May-August) so it's best to book a month in advance if you have concrete plans to be in Manhattan.

Can I change my tour date once it's purchased?

I'm more than happy to try and accommodate requests. Please email me no later than two weeks before your tour to request a change.

Can I cancel my tour?

I'm running late!

I understand things come up- tours are non-refundable however feel free to email me if you'd like to reschedule.

If you're late for whatever reason that time is taken off the tour time. For example, if your tour is scheduled to start at 12pm and you don't show up until 12:30pm, your tour will still end at 4pm.

Have a question that's  not here?

Email me and I'll get back to you within 48 hours.
