Cocofloss Review (Vegan + Cruelty-Free)

When you go vegan, dental items are usually one of the trickier things to find. We all have specific tastes when it comes to toothpaste favor, heavy opinions on to fluoride or not to fluoride and maybe even gum sensitivity. Floss is the trickiest, because the generic floss at the store is coated in who knows what, and specialty floss is kind of pricey. I came across Cocofloss online while browsing and was immediately taken by the packaging and branding. Previously, I used whatever cheap and uncoated thin floss I could find. Flossing hurt, and I avoided it most days.

Cocofloss' fun, colorful and flavorful brand is what led me to plunk down more than $20 for three packs of floss.

The Product

Cocofloss is made up of lots of threads wound together that form a spongey texture. It's infused with coconut oil and fruit extracts. It comes in a clear, thick plastic holder with markings to show you how many days you have left of the floss in your container. I got the mint because I personally don't like dental items that reek of fruit or sweets. Their options include mint, coconut, strawberry and orange.

Cocofloss is a super-cleansing, high performance dental floss. Its microfiber filaments are designed to scrub your pearly whites refreshingly clean. Coconut oil invigorates your smile. Subtle fruit hints relax and delight.
It’s floss paradise.

The Verdict

I will never use another floss. They say it feels like a loofah for your teeth, and I would second that. Flossing with Cocofloss is gentle, but really really weird the first few times. The first thing I noticed was how thick it was! I was afraid it wouldn't fit between my teeth but it fits like a glove. Because it's so spongey, it picks out everything super well.

I like the subtle mint flavor and the cool aqua color. The floss is easy to cut and doesn't hurt when you wind it around your finger. I tend to overestimate the amount of floss I need and pull a long string, but it never goes to waste!

Another thing- the packaging is really sturdy and the top doesn't pop open randomly like some other brands. Cocofloss has fallen out of my cabinet or off the sink and it doesn't crack or split.  I feel like saying it's great for travel is ridiculous, because all floss comes in compact containers. But because I love travel, I'm going to also add it's great for travel ;)
